Napoli Boys, Braves and more

I backed the last Street Wars NYC kickstarter and have got the pledge prepped ready for priming when weather permits!

The campaign was to fund the Napoli Boys:

Like all Street Wars NYC gangs the minis are armed with a range of knives, bats and improvised weapons.  I particularly like the guy with two bricks and the chap striking a threatening pose with a length of chain.

A surprise option made available after the campaign was the Braves (totally not the Warriors):

Super chuffed with these guys!

The campaign also included other minis - first up a pair of Cops:

And a couple of civilian passersby that can get caught up in the gang fights:

There was also a pack of 'Park Ladies':

Finally an absolutely vile individual named Donnie, and an MVP called Stanley:

Getting that Dorito Orange tone might be tricky on Donnie, but I'll do my best!

Funky Dude

As part of the Ghetto Lords KS the Funky Dude mini was unlocked as a stretch goal - there was a slight delay in the production of this particular mini but it's with me now and I've prepped it (didn't take much as it was a very clean cast):

It's a mini of the Funky Skull Games logo/mascot - pretty cool (sorry, Funky!).

The package also included a sheet of era-suitable posters to add to scenery for games of Street Wars NYC:

These are really cool and I'm now turning my mind to what theme table I want to put together for our games of Street Wars NYC!

The Ghetto Lords and an MVP

I backed the Funky Skull Games Kickstarter to release the next gang for Street Wars NYC - the Ghetto Lords.  Well, even despite the COVID-19 situation there was only a slight delay and I've got my pledge all prepped ready for base dipping and priming!

Obviously, the majority of the pledge was for the Ghetto Lords gang itself - a bunch of denim-clad 70s rowdy gangbangers:

I particularly like Chiquito with his Boom Box

Nope, sorry, can't pick a favourite out of this group!

But that's not all - I also added for Jake Le Fou (leader of another gang - but also available as a special MVP in game):

He's a real hardcase(y Jones) and no mistake!

As with the Mollies and the Black Cobras I already have these are all packed full of 70s attitude and style - looking forward to what other gangs Funky Skull Games has up its sleeve!

Street Wars NYC

A while ago I jumped in on the Funky Skull Games campaign to bring The Mollies gang to life for Street Wars NYC - this tough, pink jacket wearing all-female gang was just too cool not to get - check out the art work for one of the members:

I hadn't got in on Street Wars NYC before now, but couldn't pass The Mollies by so went in for them, thinking it'd be a cool painting project if nothing else.  Although as I thought on it some more, the all-in deal was just too good value, so luckily, funds permitted before the opportunity closed and I upped and got it all!  That means in addition to the all-women gang I get the previously released African-American Kung Fu themed gang The Black Cobras.  Now, these are just too 70s cool and also have that whole Wu Tang connection so these are going to be my guys for sure - check out some art:

Man, The Black Cobras are just so damn cool.

Finally (well other than the MVPs, tokens and rulebook!) I'll be getting a third gang, The Devil's Outcasts.  These guys would look good in all sorts of games, including post-apocalyptic games, so I know a very good home that I'll be offering them to... Check out the art of their Warlord (leader):

I'm looking forward to getting this little lot in hand - based on what I've seen of the minis I'll definitely be supporting future campaigns from Funky Skull Games for more gangs! (and as they are the same gu
