Cobra Car Pool
Finishing up the Ion Age stuff (for now) is a selection of vehicles I received - one for the Prydians and three options for the Yordan force.
All the vehicles are taken from the range of 'Cobra' vehicles - which come in three flavours (tracked, wheeled or hover) and then different designations depending on weapon loadout.
First up, a Black Adder - an anti-armour variant equipped with a railgun:
I had a spare battlesuit shield so added that to the front as a decorative piece to include some kind of heraldry on. This will join the Prydian force.
For the Yordan side - I received three Cobra Combat Cars (the wheeled style). First the Red Cobra variant - armed with a rotary cannon:
Next the missile pod-armed Yellow Cobra:
and finally the Orange Adder which features a grenade launcher turret. This one had a very small air bubble in the resin at the back of the turret piece - rather than fill it as normal, I used it as the start of a small hole to add an antenna cut from a paper clip:
All of these came with the main body in three parts (hull, left and right) and turrets (I left mine loose in traditional style so that they can be blown up in battle). Some feature metal weapons and three have small metal hatch covers on the turrets. All easy enough to build and look really cool - they are also great value!

Yordan Reinforcements
I've already covered the reinforcements for the Prydian side of the Game Pack; now it's time to cover what I got to bolster the Yordan side!
First up, Retained Lance Command Charlie to provide some HQ stuff - and, as with the pack covered previously, a casualty that will be a good objective marker:
And to round out the troops options Muster 2nd Patrol - 10 troopers armed with a mix of weapons. These represent troops tasked with scouting and reconnaissance missions:
Like the rest of the 15mm Ion Age stuff - I'm really happy with these! They'll all get the standard texture dip prior to priming (some fine day!) then it's onto the paint queue!

Prydian Reinforcements
In addition to the Patrol Angis Game Pack I also received some reinforcements for each of the sides - first up the Prydian stuff!
First up, Lance Command Beta to provide some HQ style models - as well as a casualty that will work as a good objective marker I think:
I also received a Desteria Demi Alpha - these heavily armoured chaps will surely terminate (ahem) their foes!
Bringing some height is a Winnower variant Duxis Battlesuit - I love the shield and spear this mini is armed with:
Finally for the Prydians I received a pack of Retained Pistoleers - these are limited to 500 minis, so are pretty cool to have in the collection. The male Pistoleer (right) will join the Prydian forces, the female (left) will join the Yordan army:
As with the rest of the Ion Age stuff these all have a lot of character packed into a small package - definitely recommended!

Ion Age Scenery
I received a selection of 15mm scenery pieces to give us something to fight over in the Ion Age - these are all from Alternative Armies of course!
First up a selection of Geo Shelters - a couple of Habitation versions, a laboratory and a storage shelter to provide some variety and create a small camp/settlement on the tabletop:
From the Hordes of the Future range I received a pack of concrete barriers and drums to provide some defensible positions:
Finally back to the Ion Age range for a crashed Skylark Patrol Flyer - which will make a superb objective piece as well as a large obstacle/cover piece:
These will really help bring the table to life for games of Patrol Angis!

Patrol Angis - Game Pack
Mrs ADHS treated me to the Patrol Angis Game Pack (think of it as a starter set) from Alternative Armies. This pack is awesome - I'm really looking forward to getting stuck in!
By way of background, many moons ago my Grandma bought me some miniatures from a local shop that specialises in scale model kits. She knew I was into wargames so took a punt - many years later I learnt that they were 28mm Ion Age miniatures! It's kind of fun to return to this setting properly now I know a bit more about what I'm doing!
Of course, the pack includes the Patrol Angis rulebook to get started:
The pack also includes two forces - yep, full forces ready to duke it out in 15mm!
The one side 'Prydian Army' consists of two Retained Posts (think squads), the characters Balthazar and Jerome and a special Knight Errant with Pistol that is unique to this pack! I need to sort through and get my head around what's what - but this is the Prydian half:
Of course being 15mm it's not easy to see from a bare metal picture what kind of detail these chaps hold - but please be assured that they have a good amount of detail, and the poses have a nice amount of variety too! There's a sprinkling of different weapon types alongside the standard rifles.
For the other half of the pack it is the League of Yordan. Starting off with a Retained Post:
This Post is all-female and look rather bad-ass - just check out the one on the top row with a rocket launcher!
Also for the Yordan side, a weapon platform with crew:
And finishing off the Yordan force are three Battlesuits - each with a different gun:
I really like the Battlesuits!!
The pack also included enough bases for both forces too, which is a nice touch.
I'm really pleased to have added some 15mm Sci-Fi to the collection and there'll be more from the Ion Age soon...
