The Great Clan Skyre is known amongst Skaven-kind for its wondrous warp-powered weapons – most famous of all is the Warpfire Thrower; a device that launches gouts of warp-tinged flame to engulf the enemies of the Horned Rat.
Crik-Crik and Krat are the owners of one such weapon. Crik-Crik, the firer, is an apprentice engineer who has come to Mordheim to try out a variety of 'improvements' to the Warpfire Thrower in secret, away from his superiors who would claim any innovations as their own. Krat, the simpleton litter-mate of Crik-Crik, carries the fuel required for the weapon – a dangerous, but vital job!
When I was tinkering with WHFB projects I picked up Island of Blood upon its release - while most are long gone, a few bits and pieces have found continued purpose and life in Mordheim; the Warpfire Thrower was once such miniature that I fancied painting, so Crik-Crik and Krat came to be!
