Smithtown and Surrounds

Situated to the west of the ruined city of Mordheim, Smithtown is the largest and most stable of the many shanty towns and settlements that have sprung up around the cursed city.

Smithtown

Known for having some of the best smiths around Mordheim, all manner of business have also sprung up to cater to the needs of the smithys' customers – which are mostly warbands of all sorts.

Bauschinger's Blades

The no-nonsense Bauschinger claims to have kitted out more than half of the warbands that have passed through Smithtown.

Dunagan's Black Powder Emporium

The dwarf Dunagan sells the widest range of black powder weapons and supplies in Smithtown.

The Flying Anvil

Dwarf-owned tavern and the purveyor of the best ales. Well, the best available in a hell hole like Mordheim.

Rollo and Skred's

A halfling and ogre owned general store. Most expect Skred to be the most fearsome of the two, but then they haven't bartered with Rollo yet.

The Rusty Horseshoe

Cheap, not too dangerous and with warm beds for those with coin, the Rusty Horseshoe never lacks customers.

Stumpf's

Hammers, maces and clubs are the speciality of Stumpf.

Ulur Ironbeard's

Easily the best place to get armour in Smithtown, but you'll pay a premium for Ulur's craftsmanship.

Brigandsburg

A pitiful nest of curs and wickedness... which makes it the best place to find hired swords of all stripes!

Axel Wilhelm's Hireling Agency

Axel's agency has probably the most varied list of hired swords, wizards, killers and monsters in all of Mordheim.

The Three-Eyed Crow

The cheapest inn in town (and shows it).

The Winged Fysh

Specialises in quenching the more diverse thirsts amongst the denizens of Brigandsburg.

Gutter's End

A small shanty downhill from most other settlements in the area. Gutter's End is often flooded and the rain waters bring down detritus and more from the other shanty towns. The occasional valuable find turns up, encouraging treasure seekers to pay Gutter's End a visit.

Durchsieber and Daughters

Old Durchsieber andher daughters are the wealthiest family in Gutter's End. They run the only general store in town, but their wealth came from a particularly lucky find one day in the flood water.

The Manaan Arms

A tongue in cheek reference to the soggy nature of Gutter's End, the Manaan Arms is the only tavern in the settlement.

Other Features

Bärenwälder

An area of dark woodlands and suspected home of packs of Beastman raiders, but no one has been brave enough to check yet. Persistent rumours suggest that there is a small conclave of Wood Elves calling these woods their home (which they call Foraoise Iompróidh).

Da Rekk

The smashed remains of a small keep and barracks outside of the city, the rubble has been taken over by the greenskins that have answered the call of the krump.
