Rufus von Hamelin - Bard

Although it is a traditional instrument in many provinces of the Empire, the bagpipe is nevertheless not a popular choice.  Its wailing lament-filled dirge is particularly ill-suited to the travelling musicians known as Bards – but Rufus von Hamelin still prefers it over the more popular lutes that most seem to ply their trade with these days.

Rufus plays his songs even on the battlefield, where they can help raise the spirits of his comrades.  Of course, perhaps they fight harder in order to end the battle and shut the piper up, but Rufus is just glad to be receiving coin for his music!

I think this chap is a Citadel miniature - but he has been based up and primed for so long I can't remember what was on his slotta tab! I added a plastic sword (you can just make out the handle) from the Empire Archer kit (I think it was).  If anyone can identify this miniature, please let me know and I'll update this post/the labels to reflect it!
