I've been chipping away getting my TTCombat Halfling Shieldmaidens army prepped ready for priming and thought I'd share them before they get sprayed.
First up, of course, is Queen Skeggjöld, the leader of the army:
Next up is what has become one of my favourite fantasy minis ever - I've called her Sigrdrifr:
Hrist’s Shieldmaidens form a solid core to the army:
Kára’s Crossbows give a good ranged option:
The Bolt Thrower called Veðr gives some punch:
The Halflings don't march to war alone - they've brought their Warbears, The Birnir:
Originally that was all I'd planned - but once I got the miniatures in hand I spotted that some of the Crossbow-armed models had hoods up/scarves covering their faces. A quick count up and I realised I had enough of them to make a unit of Scouts to give an additional option to the army; here's Grimhildr's Hunters:
The miniatures are full of character - these are some tough Halfling Valkyries!
How are you running the units dude? 6 models but 12 strength
ReplyDeleteThe Shieldmaidens and Crossbows are 12 models/12 strength, the Queen and Sorceress are single model units (of whichever strength applies for the unit), the Bears are 3 models/6 strength (so 2 wounds each), the Bolt Thrower for ease will be treated as 12 strength (counts as Heavy Missiles - but I have found rules for warmachines too so that's an option). The Scouts are a 6 strength/6 model unit as standard, so that worked out well!
