The ZEED
House Goliath has long been a power within Sector B67, especially within Smedrock itself. The top Goliath gang, known as The ZEED, formed part of the tripartite power sharing agreement along with representatives of the Orlock and Van Saar. Led by King Zeed, a tough but fair and honourable man, The ZEED were well liked amongst the populace of Smedrock - many times they were instrumental in turning back a Scavvy raiding crew or a Ratskin warparty. This increasing popularity however ran the risk of upsetting the delicate balance of power in B67 - something the Orlock and Van Saar couldn't risk. So, the leadership of Van Saar, with resources from the House of Iron, utilised its Black Ops Task Force to run a smear campaign through propaganda and false flags to bring down The ZEED. So successful was this campaign that the Guilders declared The ZEED outlaw and placed a sizable bounty on each member. King Zeed took his loyal men and fled to the more wild corners of B67 - they can be found most often in Rude End, but rumours are brewing about them being in league with the Delaque of Grimview...
Goliath was one of the iconic gangs of Necromunda - being in the starter box and being the cover stars and all that! They weren't my favourite miniatures, but I picked up a first edition starter box which gives a decent sized gang; especially as a I decided early on that they would be a NPC gang of outlaws in Sector B67.
I named them after the character Zeed from Hokuto no Ken (blame the mohawk hairstyle).
Here's King Zeed himself - as he's an NPC I gave him a power claw (counts as power fist of course), which I added a power cable to a suitably generator-looking backpack.
A.Zeed is the gang's heavy - armed with that Necromunda classic the heavy stubber:
B.Zeed is rather tooled up - with his hand flamer and knife, and a shotgun in a holder across his back he's ready for any occasion:
C.Zeed has a lasgun and stubgun. And probably dum-dum bullets cause that seems like something a Goliath would use.
D.Zeed here has the versatile shotgun (and an anger management problem by the looks of him):
That last of the gangers, E.Zeed, has an autogun. I gave him a melta bomb too, just because I felt a little sorry for him.
Finally we have the two juves, F.Zeed and G.Zeed - both got a weapon swap, with F getting the King's chainsword in place of a wimpy knife and G upgrading his laspistol to a bolt pistol (but keeping his wimpy knife):
Three gangs down, fourteen to go!
